Bulova Technologies Group, Inc., Announces Significant Actions in Its Upgrading of BT-Twiss Transport LLC’s Assets

LARGO, Fla.-(BUSINESS WIRE)-

Bulova Technologies Group, Inc. (BTGI) today announced that its subsidiary BT-Twiss Transport LLC (BT-Twiss) has already begun its upgrading of trucking assets to provide improved service to its customer base only weeks after being acquired by BTGI.

At the forefront of upgrade activities is the replacement of 14 of its trailers with state-of-the-art Vanguard, 53 foot box trailers with Carrier refrigeration units; the commitment to replace two, two year old and two, three year old Peterbilt tractors with four, 2017 Model 579 Peterbilt tractors with 80 inch cabs.

Close behind these asset changes is the negotiations for an additional 45,000 square feet of additional cold storage space co-located with the existing cold storage in Tampa, Florida.

In addition to these two actions is the kick off of an aggressive recruitment campaign to add owner operators to accommodate increased freight demand resulting from the very high level of marketing efforts by the newly formed, combined team.

Stephen L Gurba, President and Chief Executive Officer of BTGI, stated: “These BT-Twiss actions are defining our aggressiveness on many fronts to make BT-Twiss a highly regarded and successful business endeavor for BTGI. We will continue to seek out and improve in those business areas that are going to yield higher customer satisfaction and increased profitability.”
